The following is an honest review of Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake and my suggested age rating.
Three sisters, one crown. Mirabella: an elemental. Katherine: a poisoner. Arisone: a naturalist. They’ve been taught to hate each other, prepared to kill one another. There can only be one Queen Crowned; on the girls 16th birthday the battle begins. It isn’t a matter of skill, but brutality. The last queen alive will be crowned.
Review of Three Dark Crowns
Three Dark Crowns is a thrilling and twisted multiple POV novel. It was one of those books where I didn’t feel like I was reading because of the constant switch in POV. I honestly don’t know which sister I’m rooting for, they are all so intriguing and unique. The ending left me floored and I don’t think you will see it coming. I am excited to see where this series goes and read the sequel One Dark Throne soon!
If you like royalty, court, rebellion, and thrilling twists this book is for you!
I gave Three Dark Crowns 4/5 stars on Goodreads.
Age Rating of Three Dark Crowns
I would give Three Dark Crowns an Age Rating of 14 and up. This book contains violence, little language, and romance.
