The following is an honest review of Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo and my suggested age rating.
*The following synopsis and review contain spoilers for Six of Crows*
Synopsis of Crooked Kingdom
Kaz Brekker and the rest of the Crows just pulled off an impossible heist but it didn’t end like they expected. The Crows expected a large sum of money as a reward and instead Wraith was kidnapped. Now the Crows are back to fighting for their lives and making risky gambles in hopes of saving themselves. With new allies and new enemies the Crows don’t know who to trust but they must work fast to secure the fate of the Grisha world.
Review of Crooked Kingdom
Wow. Going in I knew some things were gonna happen, but I didn’t expect my heart to be ripped from my chest. This book was incredible. So freaking good.
I can’t say much without spoiling things but I think I might’ve enjoyed this one more than Six of Crows. Everyone’s connections and relationships were stronger. I especially enjoyed seeing Kaz and Inej’s relationship grow. I definitely laughed, cried, and took note of many quotes haha.
I gave Crooked Kingdom 5/5 stars on Goodreads.
Age Rating of Crooked Kingdom
I would give Crooked an Age Rating of 13 and up. There is violence, abuse, romance, and mild language.
