The following is an honest review of A Castle in the Clouds by Kerstin Gier and our suggested age rating.
Synopsis
A Castle in the Clouds follows Sophie an intern at the grand hotel in the Swiss mountains. Supposedly steeped in tradition and faded splendor She’s working hard to prepare for the annual New Year’s Eve ball. Unfortunately, nothing is going her way, problems keep arising and not everyone is who they say they are.
Review of A Castle in the Clouds
I don’t know how I discovered this book but I’m so glad I did. A Castle in the Clouds is full of cozy atmospheric vibes and beautiful descriptions. This book was a perfect balance of Christmas ambiance vs wintry ambiance. It never felt like Christmas was shoved in your face. I don’t want to say much cause it’s so fun going into a story not knowing much but I found so many of the characters endearing and charming as well as the overall aesthetic of the hotel. This is the PERFECT book for the week between Christmas and New Year.
4/5 stars
