Review of What Child is This?
Thank you to Harper Collins for sending me a copy of this novel.
When I received this in the mail I was extremely excited. I’m a big fan of anything Sherlock related and had high hopes of a mystery set in London during Christmas that follows Sherlock. Howeverrrr I was disappointed.. although this book does keep the original Sherlock feeling alive the mystery was a let down. It felt as though lots of things happened off the page and I overall had some pacing issues. The lack of Christmas was also a let down.
I wouldn’t say that in the big picture this was a bad book, I enjoyed Bonnie MacBird’s writing and the concept was good, this was just eh for me. Kinda mid.
3/5 stars
Age Rating of What Child is This?
